Care & Repair Cymru provides the Secretariat to Senedd Cymru’s Cross-Party Group on Housing, which is Chaired by Siân Gwenllian MS, Plaid Cymru representative for Arfon.
The group provides a forum for stakeholders in the housing and homelessness sector in Wales to come together to discuss how home plays a fundamental role in creating the healthy, prosperous and resilient Wales.
We have developed a resource library to support those working within the housing sector in Wales. This library is kept up-to-date with the most relevant policy information as well as practical support and guidance for frontline staff for solutions to housing challenges.

The Cross-Party Group on Housing Resource Library brings together training and development opportunities for professionals working in the housing sector in Wales and beyond.
National Energy Action is a charity working to end fuel poverty in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The NEA offer support and advice to fuel poor households, as well as influencing policy and legislation to protect vulnerable households. The NEA offer various training programmes for frontline staff on how to assist households with fuel poverty, energy efficiency and decarbonisation.
Training and Education – National Energy Action (NEA)
Stori is a not-for-profit Housing Association that provide specialist support for victims and survivors of domestic abuse; families; children and young people; and those experiencing mental ill health. Stori provides practical and flexible training, from safeguarding to trauma-informed care to help organisations build skills and confidence to make a difference.
Welsh Government’s National Training Framework – Stori provides sessions support professionals and practitioners working with victims of domestic abuse building confidence, deepening understanding, and improving outcomes.
Stori also delivers training shaped by lived experience and frontline expertise. Programmes

The Bevan Foundation is a charity with the aim to make Wales fair, prosperous and sustainable. The Bevan Foundation informs people about social and economic problems and develop ideas to solve them. The Bevan Foundation delivers training to help organisations engage with Wales’ policy process.

Care & Repair provided evidence to the Local Government and Housing Committee’s inquiry into the role Local Authorities play in hospital discharge.
New Welsh Government estimates show that a quarter of Welsh Households are now considered to be in fuel poverty spending more than 10% of their income to heat their home to an adequate temperature.
Care & Repair Cymru has been working alongside Tai Pawb Private Rented Sector Champions Network to develop a new video and e-guide designed to give landlords and letting agents across Wales to better support older tenants and those with accessibility needs.
