Older Not Colder is a Wales-wide service that helps older people to keep their homes warm and reduce their energy bills.
We can visit and asses your home and give you free expert advice. We will even try and find funding for you if you need repairs or work to improve the energy efficiency or warmth of your home.
The service is for people who:
- Live in Wales
- Are over the age of 60
- Own their own home or privately rent
How Older Not Colder Tackles Fuel Poverty
The service has 12 Home Energy Officers who visit and assess homes, offering free expert advice and support. They also help homeowners with finding funding for repairs or work to improve their home’s energy efficiency.
The service aims to improve the wellbeing and health of older people through energy saving measures, increased household income, and energy advice. In doing so, it also helps to reduce pressures on the Welsh NHS.
Older Not Colder is made possible through Wales & West Utilities’ Vulnerability and Carbon Monoxide Allowance (VCMA) fund.
