What is Older Not Colder?

The Older Not Colder project aims to tackle fuel poverty among older people in Wales. Through energy saving measures, increased household income, and energy advice, the project aims to improve the overall wellbeing and health of older people. The service also helps to reduce pressures on the Welsh NHS.

The project supports those aged 60 and over living in low-income households. The service has 12 specialist Home Energy Officers that cover every corner of Wales. In collaboration with existing partners and current local services, the project will address issues exacerbated by the cost-of-living crisis, high energy prices, and the pandemic, ultimately aiming to improve the overall health and wellbeing of older people in Wales.

Older Not Colder launches in April 2024. If you have questions about the project, please contact the Project Mananger, Becky Ricketts: becky.ricketts@careandrepair.org.uk
