The Mamwlad Project, run by Care & Repair in Powys, supports people over 50 in the farming community.

The project supports those who are farmers, farm-workers or retired from farming to stay living at home safely and independently and to tackle loneliness and isolation.

Mamwlad Caseworkers take time to talk to you about your home and give advice on options to adapt, repair and maintain your home, whether owned or rented. They will offer a free Healthy Home Assessment helping you to manage better and stay safe, warm and secure.

Watch: John Shares How the Project has Helped Him

John, from Berriew, has been a farmer and factory worker his whole life. However, as his health deteriorated, he needed the Mamwlad caseworkers to step in.
