Home adaptations are one of the easiest and cost-effective ways of ensuring older people can live with dignity and independence in their own home for as long as they choose. Wales has an ageing population, meaning housing adaptations are becoming even more important to reduce accidents at home and prevent hospital admission.
Care & Repair delivers the Rapids Response Adaptations Programme across Wales for people living in the own home. Except for RRAP, the current system of delivering adaptations in Wales varies depending on whether the older person owns their own home, and where in Wales they live.
We believe that everyone in Wales should have an equal opportunity to access the support they need to make their home accessible no matter where they live in Wales.
