About the role

We have an exciting opportunity within Care & Repair Monmouthshire and Torfaen for a professional, highly motivated, and experienced individual to join our well-established and successful team.

The role will be 35 hours a week – a mixture of home visiting within the community, and flexible hybrid working between office and home agreed in consultation with the successful candidate.

You will provide a high quality and confidential Casework service appropriate to client needs; your main duties will include:

  • Visiting older people in their own homes to provide advice and support on matters including housing repairs, maintenance, adaptations and improvements; funding for works, benefit entitlement and other relevant services.
  • Recording visits and outcomes on our bespoke database system.
  • Finding solutions to clients’ problems and making referrals to third party organisations.
  • Managing your own caseload and meeting personal targets.
  • Assessing for minor adaptations to clients’ homes (the successful candidate will be required to undertake ‘Trusted Assessor’ training)

We’re looking for someone who is client focused with excellent communication skills; a team player who can work flexibly to meet business needs, using their own initiative and keeping up with a fast-paced working environment.

You will need to be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Outlook.

This is an extremely rewarding role and an opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives. The successful candidate will be joining a small and friendly team with a highly supportive line manager who will be available to you when you need them. We will listen to you, give you clarity and direction and make you feel included so that you cannot fail to have a highly positive experience at work.

If you feel you have the right skills and experience, this opportunity could be for you!

Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
