Falls Prevention Caseworker

Care & Repair Cardiff and the Vale is a charity that exists to support older people living in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan to repair, adapt and maintain their homes to enable them to live as independently as possible with increased safety, security, warmth and comfort.
We are currently seeking:

•  2 x Falls Prevention Caseworkers
• Salary: £31,481 per annum
• Contract: Permanent
• Flexible and Hybrid working
• Full Time, 35 hours per week
• Closing date: 4pm 7th May 2025
• Interviews; Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th May 2025
• The Falls Prevention Caseworker Service will focus on providing a rapid response to enquiries regarding falls prevention. Following a referral and initial telephone review, the service will visit an older person in their homes, assess for any risks of slips, trips and falls and make recommendations and arrange for agreed adaptations to be installed to reduce these risks.
  In summary, the role will:
  Promote and enable independent living for clients, visiting approximately 400 older people at home each year and assessing for minor adaptations and safety works to prevent falls and maximise safety in the home.
  Support the aims and principles of Care & Repair, ensuring that all clients are offered a high quality and confidential service, appropriate to their needs. Enabling them to remain in their homes in greater comfort and security
