Mae Care & Repair Cymru, mewn partneriaeth gyda Electrical Safety First, wedi cyhoeddi adroddiad newydd yn ymchwilio\u2019r effaith y gall gwella gwaith trydan ei gael ar fywydau pobl h\u0177n yng Nghymru.<\/h3>\n

Mae\u2019r adroddiad, Home Safety: How Improving Electrics is Changing Lives in Wales, yn dangos effeithiau trawsnewidiol y Cynllun Grant Gwella Trydanol, cronfa unigryw a gynlluniwyd i fynd i\u2019r afael \u00e2 gwaith trydan peryglus mewn cartrefi pobl h\u0177n ledled Cymru.
\nMae diogelwch trydan yn ddarn hanfodol o\u2019r pos, ond yn un a gaiff ei ddiystyru yn aml, wrth sicrhau y gall pobl h\u0177n fyw\u2019n ddiogel, annibynnol a gydag urddas yn eu cartrefi eu hunain.<\/p>\n

Gan gydweithio, mae Gofal a Thrwsio ac Electrical Safety First wedi llunio Grant Gwella Trydanol neilltuol sydd ar gael i gleientiaid Gofal a Thrwsio heb unrhyw fodd i dalu am wella cyflwr a diogelwch y gwaith trydan yn eu cartrefi.<\/p>\n

Roedd y cynllun yn cynnig grantiau wedi eu targedu o hyd at \u00a31,000 i gefnogi pobl gyda gwaith trwsio trydanol neu uwchraddio brys. Gallodd gweithwyr achos Gofal a Thrwsio gael mynediad cyflym i\u2019r gronfa i ddarparu gwaith hanfodol tebyg i ailweirio, gosod socedi newydd yn lle rhai peryglus, trwsio offer twymo d\u0175r a gwella goleuadau \u2013 gan yn aml ddatgelu cyflyrau peryglus nad oedd wedi cael sylw am flynyddoedd.<\/p>\n

Mae\u2019r adroddiad newydd yn asesu effaith y cynllun ac yn ystyried sut y gall gwaith trydan da gefnogi pobl h\u0177n yng Nghymru i gael y gofal y mae ganddynt hawl iddo yn nes adre, gan gynnal ansawdd bywyd da a gostwng neu oedi yr angen am ofal a chymorth tymor hirach.<\/p>\n

Stori Mr Williams \u2013 help gan y Grant Gwella Trydanol<\/h3>\n

Mae Mr Williams yn byw ar ben ei hun yn y cartref y mae\u2019n berchen arno ac mae ganddo ganser y prostad, cymhlethdodau gydag anaf i\u2019w asgwrn cefn a phryder. Cysylltodd \u00e2 Gofal a Thrwsio i ofyn am help gyda nifer o broblemau, yn cynnwys boeler gwallus a ffenestr oedd wedi torri yn y gegin gan achosi llawer o ddrafft.<\/p>\n

Yn ystod yr ymweliad gwelodd gweithiwr achos Gofal a Thrwsio fod Mr Williams yn cael anhawster yn gwneud tasgau bob dydd tebyg i olchi dillad a choginio gan fod ei beiriant golchi a ffwrn yn tripio\u2019r system drydan yn ei gegin. Roedd hefyd nifer o socedi heb fod yn gweithio.
\nDefnyddiodd y gweithiwr achos yr arian oedd ar gael i drwsio a rhoi gwasanaeth i\u2019w foeler a rhoi ffenestr newydd yn y gegin i wella effeithiolrwydd thermol a chynhesrwydd y cartref. Defnyddiwyd y cynllun Grant Gwella Trydanol i drwsio\u2019r gwaith trydan yn y gegin a gosod mwy o socedi trydan i\u2019w gwneud yn fwy hygyrch. Gall Mr Williams yn awr olchi ei ddillad a choginio heb boeni, yn ogystal \u00e2 defnyddio teclynnau ychwanegol, yn cynnwys ei ficrodon.<\/p>\n
